MoU Signing Program: KUSOED and Joining Forces Nepal

Kathmandu University School of Education (KUSOED) and Joining Forces (JF) Nepal have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Joining Forces Nepal is a coalition of global child-focused agencies including ChildFund, Plan International, Save the Children, SOS Children's Villages, Terre des Hommes, and World Vision. This partnership brings together KUSOED and Joining Forces Nepal to advance advocacy, academic engagement, and action on child development through mutual respect and shared knowledge.

Objective

To establish a long-term partnership between KUSOED and Joining Forces Nepal focused on child development, policy advocacy, and collaborative knowledge sharing.

Outcome

Official execution of the MoU. The collaboration will support joint research, shared academic activities, and practical initiatives related to child development and advocacy.

Session with KUSOED Staff and Faculty

International Collaborative Action Research (ICAR) Certificate Distribution Ceremony 2025

Date: 25 June 2026 Venue: BMT Building, KUSOED Participants: BTech Ed IT Students

The International Collaborative Action Research (ICAR) program successfully concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony celebrating BTech Ed IT students. The initiative brought together participants from various South Asian countries for an intensive 90-day learning experience designed to foster cross-border collaboration and strengthen communication skills.

Objective

To enhance students' English writing and speaking skills through a 90-day international collaborative learning experience, bringing together participants from various South Asian countries to communicate and collaborate in a diverse environment.

Outcome

BTech Ed IT students demonstrated significant improvement in English writing and speaking, developing greater confidence in expressing their ideas and gaining valuable experience working with international peers. The ceremony formally recognized their successful progress.

4th STEAM Seminar

Date: 27 June 2026 Venue: Machhapuchhre IB World School, Lalitpur Organized by: MEd in STEAM Education (2-year), 2025 Batch, Department of STEAM Education, KUSOED Sponsored by: University Grants Commission (UGC), Nepal

The Department of STEAM Education (MEd in STEAM Education, 2025 Batch) at KUSOED, with support from the University Grants Commission (UGC) Nepal, organized the 4th STEAM Seminar. The event served as a dynamic forum for educators, researchers, and students to explore transformative teaching strategies, AI integration, and future-ready educational frameworks.

Objective

To explore emerging approaches to education—particularly the integration of Artificial Intelligence, well-being, innovative assessment practices, and STEAM education—while providing a platform for exchanging ideas on future-ready learning.

Outcome

KUETC Club Formation and Member Election

To establish a student-led club facilitating participation in academic, technical, and extracurricular activities, while encouraging student leadership, teamwork, and collaboration through democratic member elections.

Successfully established the KUETC Club and elected new executive members. The event provided students with practical leadership experience, strengthened community bonding, and created a framework for future student-led initiatives.

LOA Signing Program: KUSOED and Broadway Infosys

Date: 13 July 2026 Venue: Kathmandu University School of Education (KUSOED), Hattiban, Lalitpur

Kathmandu University School of Education (KUSOED) and Broadway Infosys officially executed a Letter of Agreement (LOA). This collaboration bridges academia and the IT industry, creating opportunities for students to acquire industry-relevant technical competencies and career exposure.

BTech Ed IT Visiting and In-house Faculty Assessment Workshop

In-Person Class and Interactive Session with H.N. Upadhaya for M.Ed. Mathematics Education

Students of the M.Ed. in Mathematics Education program (2nd and 4th semesters) successfully completed an intensive three-day in-person class at KUSOED, Hattiban. The face-to-face learning module was highlighted by an engaging, interactive session with veteran educator H.N. Upadhaya, giving students a platform for collaborative academic discourse and direct interaction.

Objective

To provide M.Ed. Mathematics Education students with face-to-face learning opportunities and direct academic interaction with experienced educators.

Outcome
